Peter Jeffries died following a fire at his flat.
His post mortem showed that he had also been stabbed and had been bitten by a dog.
He had lived in a second floor flat in the block, 118 to 125 Lynden Avenue in Long Eaton.
He had been rescued from the flat but later died in hospital. The fire brigade was called to his flat at about 5.35am on 22 June 2019.

During their investigation the police searched a nearby fishing pond called Barker’s Pond for clues. The pond was about five minutes from his flat and the police appealed for anyone that had been near the pond between 6am and 2pm on 22 June 2019 to come forward.
